Dang Xuan Quang, 38, from Ho Chi Minh City, his five-year-old son Dang Tien Cong and car driver Nguyen Trong Kim from Thai Binh Province in the north were killed in the accident.

The car was smashed badly after colliding with the southbound bus driving from the opposite direction at nearly 11p.m.

The three injured were Quang’s wife Le Thi Ha Linh, 35, his other son Dang Le Quang Thanh, 11, and his niece Lai Van Vuong, 20.

They were first rushed to the 87 Hospital in Nha Trang Town. Linh and Thanh were sent back home to HCMC Friday afternoon but Vuong had suffered multiple injuries and is being treated at the hospital.

The bus driver Do Anh Tuan, 33, from the northern province of Hai Duong, was unhurt.

Khanh Hoa authorities are investigating the accident.
