HCMC – The local rice price has inched up slightly by VND200-300 per kilogram compared to previous days right after a plan of buying one million tons of rice for temporary storage was launched thanks to increasing orders from China.
HANOI – This year’s winter-spring crop in the Mekong Delta will be a bumper one, yielding about 10.5 million tons of paddy (unhusked rice), including some four million tons of commercial rice, which may pull down the price, the agriculture ministry said.
