HCMC – A major scheme to complete construction of four elevated roads in HCMC by 2020 has almost stalled as all the planned roads must be rerouted while investors are still in the preliminary stage of preparation, according to the city’s Department of Transport.
The Ministry of Transport is conducting a new feasibility study for the construction of North-South Express Railway, with a focus on two initial sections – Hanoi - Vinh and HCM City - Nha Trang. The study has been initiated after the National Assembly last June rejected the complete 1,570km North-South Express Railway project, saying the cost of 55.85 billion USD was prohibitive.
