The casting for Vietnam’s Next Top Model - the fashion reality show based on the American TV hit program Next Top Model - will kick off on Wednesday at the Van Ho exhibition center in Hanoi.
White Palace Convention Center in HCMC will hold the first casting in the South on August 22.
Three days of casting in both cities will pick the best 10 models. Then the 20 finalists will get together in HCMC to find the winner. They will live together and undergo intense training by high-profile gurus in the fashion industry.
The top model, who will be the cover girl of F magazine of FTV, will receive an exclusive two-year contract worth US$50,000 with a professional model agency in the U.S. and a US$15,000 Diamond Membership card of California Fitness and Yoga Center for two years and other valuable prizes.
Thousands of applications have been submitted from girls aged from 18 to 25 nationwide.
Vietnam’s Next Top Model will be aired every Thursday on VTV3 channel at 8 p.m. from September 30.
America’s Next Top Model, that the show is based on, is one of highest rated shows of CW Television Networks in the U.S. This competitive reality show chronicles the transformation of everyday young women from 18 to 25 into potential supermodels. Since its premier in 2003, America’s Next Top Model rapidly became a television “phenomenon” in the U.S., attracting millions of female audiences from 18 to 34. Up to now, the program has granted licenses for 145 countries in the world.
