Harvey Nash needs software engineers for new projects

HCMC – Harvey Nash, a British provider of recruitment consultancy and IT outsourcing services, needs 450 people for two long-term projects that will get off the ground this year.

Harvey Nash Plc chief executive officer Albert Ellis, who is in HCMC for the firm’s tenth year in Vietnam, last week accompanied British consul general Tim Brownbill to pay a courtesy call on city vice chairman Le Minh Tri.

“Following the first contract worth US$54 million in 2008, we’ve just had it renewed to provide software for city-based new telephone systems. This US$43-million project needs 150 software engineers and new investments for infrastructure,” said Ellis.

Ellis told Tri that Harvey Nash would invest US$3 million in Hanoi to build another telephone center. Using VoIP technology, the center will create 300 new jobs, he said, adding both projects would come into operation this year.
