Power assured during dry season
Power supply will meet the anticipated surge in demand during the dry season this year, said Dang Huy Cuong, director of the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Viet Nam.
A meeting of Vietnamese and Cambodian senior officials to prepare for
the 7 th Meeting on Cooperation and Development between border
provinces of Cambodia and Vietnam took place in Ho Chi Minh City
on March 8.
The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh and Secretary of State of Cambodian Ministry of Interior Prum Sokha.
At the meeting, the two sides reviewed preparatory works for the plenary session of the 7 th Meeting, which will take place on March 9. The officials also discussed and agreed on a cooperative orientation between the two sides, contents of documents and joint statement of the 7 th Meeting.
Officials reviewed cooperative results between ministries, branches and localities in border provinces of the two countries from August, 2010 until now and discussed measures to solve difficulties in implementing the cooperation.
The meeting adopted an orientation to promote cooperation in many fields, to match the future needs of the two countries’ border localities.-VNA
