State President welcomes Guangxi-Vietnam cooperation

Strengthening cooperation between Guangxi and localities of Vietnam, particularly border provinces will contribute to the development of ties between Vietnam and China.

State President Nguyen Minh Triet made the remark on receiving the visiting Governor of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Ma Biao, in Hanoi on Sunday.

Triet expressed his pleasure at the growing traditional friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and China, including the ties between Vietnam’s localities and Guangxi. He affirmed that Vietnam would make every effort to foster the comprehensive cooperative strategic partnership between both nations.

Governor Ma said he hoped Guangxi and Vietnam’s provinces and cities would continue to strengthen multifaceted cooperation in the near future, especially in improving infrastructures in the border areas and raising the awareness of the young people about the two countries’ traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

He also proposed that two countries closely cooperate in organizing the ASEAN-China Trade Fair by the end of this year.
