Prime Minister receives German state governor

The Vietnamese government will support and create favourable conditions for German businesses, including those from the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, to boost cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in all areas.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the commitment while receiving the Governor of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state Erwin Sellering, who is on a working visit to Vietnam, in Hanoi on Sept. 14.

During the talks, the PM spoke highly of the visit by the Governor and businesses from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state, which, he said, would actively and practically contribute to boosting friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the state in particular and Germany in general to a new height.

He said Vietnam is pleased with the development of the two countries’ relations in numerous areas, contributing to strengthening peace, stability and development of the two nations, the region and the world at large.

For his part, Erwin Sellering said Germany people always admire Vietnamese people for their great endeavours to overcome difficulties and post-war consequences and record remarkable achievements.

Businesses from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state desire to increase cooperation with Vietnamese partners on the basis of the traditional relations between the state and localities in Vietnam as well as between the two nations, he said./.
