National Day congratulations from world leaders

Leaders near and far from around the world have sent congratulatory messages to Vietnam on its 65 th National Day.

President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Lee Myung Bak sent his warmest congratulations to President Nguyen Minh Triet.

“I sincerely wish that the two countries would continue making further developments in their strategic cooperative partnership,” the RoK President wrote in his message.

President of the Presidium of Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Yong Nam and DPRK Prime Minister Choe Yong Rim cabled their congratulations to President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, respectively.

The DPRK leaders expressed their happiness with the success of the Vietnamese people over the past 65 years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

They wished Vietnam continued growth and greater prosperity and expressed their strong belief that the two countries’ existing traditional cooperation and friendship will be further consolidated and developed toward their mutual goal of socialism.

On the occasion, Vietnam ’s leaders received congratulatory messages from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan , the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh, the Mongolian President, the Australian Governor-General, and the UN Secretary-General./.
