Nuclear energy prioritised by Vietnam
Issues relating to nuclear energy development and global energy security were on the agenda of an international workshop in Hanoi on Jan. 17.
The Chinese delegation, led by Zhang Dewei, former Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam and Deputy Head of the China-Vietnam Friendship Association, is in Vietnam to attend a programme entitled “Meeting International Friends”, an activity to mark Vietnam ’s 65 th National Day.
At the reception, Huan expressed deep gratitude to the Chinese Party, State and people’s great assistance to Vietnam during its two struggles for national independence as well as the current national construction and development.
For his part, the Chinese delegation head said he was pleased to visit Vietnam and witness the country’s socio-economic development achievements.
He expressed his belief that the close ties between the two countries would continue to prosper in the new revolutionary period for peace and stability in the region and the world at large./.
