WB supports Vietnam to tackle climate change
The World Bank (WB) on Feb. 2 approved a 70 million USD credit project to help Vietnam tackle climate change challenges.

The Party leader made the statement while meeting with Liu Yunshan, Politburo member, Secretary in the Central Secretariat and Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China, in Ha Noi yesterday.
Manh said he was satisfied with the constant development of the "comprehensive, strategic co-operative partnership" between Viet Nam and China.
The relations have yielded in practical interests for the two nations and contributed to peace, stability, co-operation and development in the region and in the world as a whole, he emphasised.
Manh welcomed the success of the two countries' youth festival that was held in China's Guangxi province last month. He described the event as significantly important for the public education sector and especially for the young generations from the two countries. The event helped increase solidarity, friendship and comprehensive co-operation between Viet Nam and China.
For his part, Liu, who is leading a Chinese delegation that is attending a workshop on communist party theory in Viet Nam, emphasised that China has always attached importance to traditional neighbourliness and solidarity with Viet Nam.
He said the Chinese Party, State and people would do their utmost and join hands with Viet Nam in boosting their comprehensive, strategic co-operative partnership.
Earlier in the day, the Chinese communists held talks with a Vietnamese delegation led by To Huy Rua, Politburo member, Secretary and Head of the Information and Education Commission of the Viet Nam Communist Party Central Committee.
The host and guest talked about the theory and ideology of the two parties. They discussed co-operative plans between the Information and Education Commission of the Vietnamese Party and the Propaganda Department of the China Party, especially in 2010 – the year of Viet Nam-China Friendship.
In addition to bilateral relations, the two delegations discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern. — VNS
