Gov't urged to provide credit fund support
The Government should enable people's credit funds to offer cheap credit services so that they can compete with commercial banks and develop sustainably, a conference heard on Thursday.

Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong and his visiting Indonesian counterpart, Marty Natale-gawa told a press briefing held yesterday in Phnom Penh after their meeting, that they would send the results of their talks to other ASEAN foreign ministers.
They expressed the hope to receive replies from all other ASEAN foreign ministers by today in order to announce these points.
However, the Cambodian chief diplomat refused to give details about the principles, saying the basic positions could be announced immediately if the other member states approved.
For his part, Indonesian Foreign Minister Natalegawa said he had held talks with his counterparts in Viet Nam and the Philippines, which are in dispute with China in the East Sea.
Natalegawa said he had received direct support for Indonesia's efforts to reach a consensus in principle on the East Sea issue.
Indonesia was working to identify basic ASEAN positions on the East Sea, Natalegawa said, noting that they were approaching the formalisation of the consensus.
He also confirmed that despite recent rumours about the grouping's conflict, ASEAN remained united. — VNA/VNS
