Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh received the visiting Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, in Hanoi on Thursday.

The Party General Secretary welcomed PM Donald Tusk’s visit on the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties, considering it as a manifestation of a fine bilateral relationship.

Manh expressed thanks for Poland’s precious support to Vietnam in the cause of national defense and construction and spoke highly of Poland’s achievements in the cause of its development and integration into Europe.

He said he wished that Vietnam and Poland would deepen the traditional friendship to achieve practical results.

General Secretary Manh also requested that the Polish government and people continue to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens who are working and living in the country.

PM Donald Tusk spoke highly of Vietnam’s prestige and position in the region and the world and said Poland attaches much importance to developing its traditional friendship with Vietnam.

He pledged that Poland would strengthen the cooperation between the two nations as well as between EU and Vietnam in the fields of economy, trade, culture, science and technology.
