Vietnam expects to expand its relations with Central Africa in economic, trade and investment areas
Vietnam wishes to strengthen and expand its relations with Central Africa in a practical and effective manner, especially in economic, trade and investment areas.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong made the statement while receiving Joseph Kiticki Kouamba, Minister-Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency of the Central Africa Republic, in Hanoi Wednesday.
He said that Vietnam and Central Africa should strengthen cooperation on the basis of their potential and advantages as they are developing countries and members of many international organisations.
In the immediate future, the two sides need to increase the exchange of high-ranking and ministerial-level delegations, strengthening mutual understanding and setting up legal foundations for the bilateral cooperation.
While congratulating the Central African people on their 50th National Day (August 13, 1960-2010), the NA leader expressed his belief that the Central African people will see stronger developments in the process of national construction and development.
Minister Joseph, who is also the Central African President’s Permanent Representative to the International Francophone Organization, thanked Vietnam for its hosting of the second Vietnam-Africa International Seminar, which offered an opportunity to boost information exchanges and cooperation between Vietnam and African countries in general and Central Africa in particular.
Vietnam is mentioned as an example of success during the struggle for national independence in the past as well as the current national construction and development, he said.
He expressed his wish that through the visit, his delegation will study Vietnam’s successes, especially its experiences in building development policies, consolidating national unity and mobilising all resources for economic development and disaster prevention.
