Vietnamese models Lan Huong and Quang Thinh from Venus model agency will join the Asia Model Festival Awards (AMFA) in South Korea on January 21 – an event organized annually by the Korea Model Association to emphasize the role and contribution of models and to foster exchange between Asian models.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 6th AMFA promises to attract models from 13 countries in the region such as Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore.

Besides attending fashion shows and an awarding ceremony at the JW Marriot Hotel in Seoul, the models will also participate in charity activities to raise funds for children with leukaemia and those from poor family.

Being 1.75 meter tall, Huong, 21, was one of the five finalists in the Miss Model of the World 2009 contest held in China.

The other, Quang Thinh, 27 years old and 1.85 meter tall, has won the 4th prize in the Manhunt Vietnam competition in 2006 and photogenic award in the Vietnam Supermodel 2008.

Thinh was voted as a favorite contestant at the Manhunt competition 2008 in South Korea.
