Model beauties without surgery

Published: Saturday, February 26, 2011

One famous model has said that 9 out of 10 models in Vietnam were born from plastic surgery; however many Vietnamese models are greatly admired for their natural beauty, the same way lotuses blooming in the wilderness are admired in Vietnam.

Following is a list, in no way exhaustive, of such models compiled by Ngoi Sao.

Truong Thi May, 23-year-old Khmer model, is known as one of the most natural beauty.

A towering figure at 172cm, weighing 52kg, with the perfect body statistics of 86-61-91, and a beautiful Vietnamese-Khmer face, she strode onto the catwalk in 2006 and has become a standout on the local fashion scene since.

Her natural beauty won her the first runner-up award in the 2006 “Miss Photogenic Contest” and “Miss Ethnic Vietnam” 2007 pageant. She also competed in the 2009 “Miss Earth” contest in Philippine; however an ankle injury stopped her from going through to the final rounds.

She also won the “Best Actress” award in the 2009 “Golden Kite” film festival for her role in the movie “Racing Track”.

Some people said that her dazzling beauty comes from her practicing of Buddhist beliefs and a strict vegetarian diet.

Kim Minh

Standing at 170cm, and having never been through any surgery, Kim Minh owns a perfect body with the vital statistics of 82-60-91, and an attractive face.

She gains the respect of many new models with her friendly personality and dignified behavior. Model Ngoc Quyen also praises Kim Minh for her a naturally beautiful body.

One of the top models, but Kim Minh does not let herself easily tempted to venture into other careers. She keeps her love for the catwalk pure and undiluted.

Trang Tran

Instead of a perfect body like Truong Thi May or Kim Minh, Trang Tran has a so-called “rough” one. However, as she is averse to the needle, scissors, scalp and pain, she does not like to be “reborn” through surgery.

Trang Tran said, “Beauty is also important but it is not everything in modeling”. She believed that a skillful application of makeup would help highlight women’s beauty and detract from their imperfection.

Confident about her skills and her professional style of work rather than beauty, Trang Tran wins the heart of many people.

She gains her team’s trust for always being on time and for her good judgment about clothes.

Ngoc Thach

In 2010, she won the First Prize in the “Top Model” contest. In the same year, she made it into the Top 10 of the “World model” contest and won the “Best Party Costume” award.

Ngoc Thach is also a familiar face on the many magazines’ covers.

Quanh Di

With a beautiful face, a slim body and perfect long legs, this Khmer model is the favorite of many fashion designers.

She is leading a happy life with her lovely husband and their 2-year-old son.
