Jetstar Pacific offers lowest airfares in the world

Published: Wednesday, February 01, 2012

Jetstar Pacific, the first low cost air service provider in Vietnam, offers the cheapest ticket fares in the world, according to a survey of Spanish e-commerce travel company eDreams on Jan. 31.

The purpose of the survey was to provide passengers with choices of cheap flights, which was an important factor helping customers decide to book tickets, particularly in the situation of a gloomy economic atmosphere.

Accordingly, Jetstar Pacific came first in term of average ticket price, followed by England’s Monarch Airlines and Rumania’s Blue Air.

Jetstar Pacific is originated from Jetstar Airlines, whose 27 percent of shares belong to Australian Qantas Group, Vietnamese shareholders including State Capital Investment Corporation and Saigontourist Travel Service Company possess the rest.

Jetstar Pacific has offered domestic flights to major cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Hai Phong and Nha Trang.

Jetstar’s two subsidiaries, Jetstar Asia (Singapore) and Jetstar Airway (Australia) were also named in the list of top 50 cheapest airline service providers.
