HCMC – Danang is preparing to expand the city’s sea tourism area to Nguyen Tan Thanh Street by planning seven model beaches in Lien Chieu and Thanh Khe districts, according to the government website chinhphu.vn.

Danang has assigned Son Tra Peninsula Management Board and the beaches to implement the expansion project. The beaches in question are Xuan Ha, Phu Loc, Ho Tung Mau, Tran Dinh Tri, Nguyen Chanh, Nam Xuan Thieu and Nam O, stretching seven kilometers in total.

Son Tra Peninsula Management Board and the beaches forecast the number of tourists to the city in the coming years would rise by an average of 30% a year.

During the peak season, from late April to end-August, large numbers of tourists flock to Danang, so the expansion of sea tourism space will help satisfy their needs and make it possible to attract more visitors.

According to the scheme on management and exploration of the beaches along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street submitted to the city’s government by Son Tra Peninsula Management Board and the beaches, multiple public services will be located in this area, including four water sport centers, two freshwater bathhouses in Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu, and a system of signage.

The budget for the scheme is estimated at VND17 billion, some VND10 billion of it sourced from the private sector.
